From the front of the museum you can view the Dry Dock designed by John Smeaton and opened in 1791. Past the Dry Dock is the Marina itself, where you will always find a deal of activity going on. A number of historic vessels can usually be seen moored in Ramsgate’s Inner Basin.

Although access to the marina itself is is restricted to those actually making use of it there is plenty to see from the Pier Yard and the pavement along Harbour Parade. Even the bus stops at the harbour provide a good view of this popular harbour.
