Originally built in 1912 as an Admiralty Steam Launch Sundowner was converted into a Motor Yacht in 1929/30 by Charles Cooper (A bargebuilder from Conyer Creek in Kent) for Charles Herbert Lightoller. Cmdr. Lightoller was the senior officer to survive the TITANIC disaster and this was to be a peaceful retirement cruiser for him and his family.
